Hooray for the creation of this new forum but I am super bummed that it is even necessary...honestly taken aback by how the first thread was treated. Shouldn't mods be impartial about the topics discussed? Sure, it's inevitable somewhat that the occasional message will be on a tangent, but the majority of it was well thought out, based on stuff we'd noticed in the movie and was respectful of other characters/fandoms. I also got the feeling that a lot of it was coming from something of a sexist place...like we are all just silly shippers who think AD is hot. We did not imagine Reylo!

This  "That lead to my next crazy, crazy thought ... and this is really crazy ... so don't laugh ... and blame the sleeping pill still messing with my brain ... because this is mega conspiracy theory .... So here goes ... what if our theories got too close ... what if someone in TPTB wants us quiet because if we've interpreted things correctly it might mess up a surprise. Obviously, a miniscule amount of people looked at our thread in the big scheme of things, but what if some lurker writes a Moviepilot.com article based on something, and then some slightly more legitimate source picks up on that and then eventually it gets to someplace a decent amount of people read. I believe Reylo will be a big shock for the GA in Episode VIII. The production may want to roll it out as they wish and not have things spoiled. LOL! I told you it was pretty crazy, but then mods attacking posters unprovoked is pretty crazy too. What kind of connections does theforce.net have to the production team? I remember reading things about the prequels there like 16 years ago, so somebody must know somebody after all these years." |

Could crazy blastaar and turnip white really be the reason? I totally agree with you that the mods there don't like us. That has been my sense for a while. Somebody said the mods and the community in general viewed the Reylo thread as the "embarrassing stepsister" (I wonder if it was you, lol) and I think that analogy is spot on. I think they find the idea of Reylo offensive and unseemly. And they are annoyed with us for being articulate and confident. The confidence is the part that bugs them most, imo. But anyway, as long as we keep things on topic, avoid getting into it with baiters and avoid calling them for help, I think they'll be forced to endure us even if they don't like it. I'm assuming it was posted in the new, shell of the real, Reylo thread. |

My unban request forum thread where I asked about banishment is quite popular amongst mods I think....got viewed 33 times...I even created a poll hahaha... But one answered and said I'm on 24 temporary ban....so I'll be BACK *cue terminator* But I don't know how much I will post in the new thread....I hate the rules and obviously can't be all seriousness and on topicness...i like to flirt....and Chorus guy is an ass....maybe he is a she? I like Chiznuk, though But seriously...what buggs me is that our thread is singled out with all these rules...and tear me down attitude...and I don't think that the thread was particularly clogged with off topic posts...I personally mind only the multiple quotes that can stretch through half a page what makes the browsing a bit uncomfortable....but the censorship on what is and isn't connected to Reylo it's just bullshit... it's a matter of perception of every single poster..and no offense frolickingfizzgig but we didn't officially elect you to represent the thread...you should have asked for everyone's opinion...so I'll pretty much ignore your list.... Well aparently I misbehave in other threads too not just ReyLo thread *chuckles* I double posted...but that was my first, I think, so I think a warning would be more appropriate...but still...I feel bad ass anyway hahaha...I kinda expected to be banned after all I said in the last pages of the old thread....but just couldn't help my self...I blame the mischieving darksiders Cantina crowd for tickling my imagination and inspiring me...however EVERYTHING I wrote WAS connected to ReyLo and not off topic....it was defiant...but that's just me...if you don't like me just scroll up...I try to keep my posts short and avoid quoting  to make it easier...but I don't plan to change the tone one bit...  Hahaha...jakkusunaestethic thanx...men are here to be messed with...and men of the thread I mean that in the nicest flirty cutesy possible way...but all those that you named are friendzoned hahaha... can't say more openly....I like (my) Kylo not Finns I guess I relate to Rey more and more hahaha

On most modded forums, whoever picks the mods usually tries to get an impartial group. If that's not possible, they at least try to get a balanced group that represents the people posting, so that no one group feels singled out. For example, I used to post on a forum for a local sports team, and the atmosphere there could get a bit...locker room, but they tried to always have a female mod at all times (1 out of the 3) to try to keep the guys in line and to cut down on the misogyny. Granted, it doesn't always work. I've seen people get obsessed with power when they become mods (people who I wouldn't have expected it from), but I don't think it's a bad approach. What else are you going to do? |

I plan to do just that darthrowan...I will NEVER change, hahaha...if I bug you people just put me on ignore and also..I eat double standards for breakfast...In my work I have came across that many times...always proving that I am better than most men in the field but the manpower mojo in science is just too rooted...so I'm thinking of changing my carrier...maybe I'll become a chef..I love to cook, and do so very well...but my secret wish is to be a vigilante hahaha...I might work on that...learn kung fu and stuff....or go to France to practice my french and cultivate grapes and lavender and make good vine in some remote village in Provance...just need to win the lottery for that one but we shall see Also, have we figured out who is Dr. Phil? |

RE john boyega. I totally see where you are all coming from, since we are all mostly AD fans and love his authenticity and shyness and vulnerability and awkwardnes etc. but, boyega is still a great guy and has gone through a lot of crud just for the color of his skin because some ppl dont think he belongs in Star Wars. I'm not saying anyone is racist here. I think you have real points on personality, but I also think it is really great that John has so much self confidence and he doesn't care about the haters. He is pretty funny a lot of the time and he has said some really supportive things on twitter for women and blacks. I identify with Adam on a spiritual/personality level, but I gotta respect John Boyega, he is a brave guy and has a thick skin and a lot of confidence because he probably needs to. Harrison Ford loves him and Daisy Ridley loves him and I really feel like he has a good heart. He just isn't the same as Adam Driver, and identify more with ppl like Adam. Honestly, neither of them deserve any hate. None of the cast does. Heck no one in the world deserves hate. Peace and love everyone <3 Sorry I just got all sappy.... <3 love you guys I agree. Boyega comes across as very likeable to me, and it doesn't seem put on to me. (Well, disclaimer here: I'm very bad at reading "real-life" people so my perceptions may of course be totally off.) Yes, he does come across a bit cocky every now and then, and he's a bit of an attention hog (like another favourite of mine, Hiddleston), but he does it in a nice way, if that makes sense. He just seems like an extrovert, perhaps with a bit of an ego, but he seems genuinely kind and friendly and not afraid to say what he thinks. But I really don't understand why fans of Finn/Boyega feel the need to say mean things about Adam Driver. Adam and John both seem like genuinely nice people to me, but in a completely different way. With Adam's self-deprecating bent, and the "gentle giant" vibe he gives off, saying mean things about him feels like an outrage. Like kicking a puppy. |
